ON THIS DAY IN 1918, the Brooklyn Daily Eagle reported, “A total for 24 hours up to 10 a.m. today of 352 cases of Spanish influenza was reported to the Health Department. For the same period, 12 deaths were recorded. Thirty-two deaths from pneumonia were reported, of which 10 were bronchial and 22 lobar pneumonia. […]
